City Council Mtg: Raising housing impact fees
Tuesday, December 9, 2014, 6:30pm
Mountain View City Hall, 500 Castro Street, 2nd Floor

On December 9, the Mountain View City Council will debate increasing the city's housing impact fees—fees that help make sure that new homes are affordable to people at a range of incomes. Families are struggling with crushing rents and traffic is growing as people are traveling longer distances to find a place to live.

This is a great opportunity to improve affordable housing policy in Mountain View on a city-wide level. Provide public comment on Tuesday or by emailing citycouncil@mountainview.gov.

Thanks to strong support from residents and advocates, city council approved increasing the city's housing impact fees—fees that help make sure that new homes are affordable to people at a range of incomes.

New rental housing will now contribute $17/square foot and office developments will now contribute $25/square foot towards the city's affordable housing fund. For a bit more info: www.mercurynews.com/peninsula/...
