284 neighbors want pop up music concerts at UN Plaza.

Progress
San Francisco is home to a lot of great musicians. Come to UN Plaza and support your local artists and explore more bands. Performance stages will be set up for various genres of music performances on a weekly basis. Sipping a summer drink, you can relax on the grass with your friends while enjoying live music!

For example, Grove on the Road brings the Festival experience directly into neighborhoods around the city. The events feature performances by local artists, hands-on arts programming, food vendors, community information fairs, and more.

Hello there,

I think this is a wonderful idea! And "Pop-Up Music" could travel to other parks/venues... similarly to how Sunday Streets moves around city to different Neighborhoods. I think that a weekly performance, at least in the beginning, may be a bit much for logistics reasons unless there's a very organized team to carry out the set up logistics. I managed very large trade shows and corporate events for over 20 years and would be able to help out wherever you may need it. Best, DeeDee

Hey there... One thought would be to include an array of music styles... With an amateur to open and then a professional band/former... Classical, Jazz, Regge, DJ/House/Trance.... ETC.

In addition to my previous comment about what sorts of music/bands... We may also want to consider other forms os entertainment in addition to Music -- such as Multicultural Dance, Theatre... etc.

I think a good goal may be considering music and art that somehow ties into the original goals of the U.N. back in 1919:

"to promote international cooperation and to achieve peace and security"
