Hello everyone,
I have been following this site for a while, but unfortunately, nothing really is happening. I guess we need people on site to keep pushing, asking, and possibly demanding action from the officials.
I live in Los Angeles and I would love to move to San Francisco so I could finally ditch the car. But, prices are prohibitive and the idea of having roommates does not appeal to me given I am way past the "roommate" age.
The idea of a tiny home is extremely appealing to me - living on my own but close to other like-minded individuals, the best of all options for sure.
The push for more affordable housing ideas is actually there in the San Francisco area, so we might need someone or a group who can galvanize people and become a "real" movement.
I would love to help somehow, so if anyone has ideas please put them forth.

There are more parcels available in the east bay (El Cerrito, Richmond) but I am sure there are restrictions, ordinances around having tiny houses on the lots, especially without any primary building structure.

I agree...I had to move out of my downtown studio because I ran out of savings and my income was not cutting it. Now I am back to commuting 6-hours a day from Sacramento and it's painful. I'm over the whole roommate area and renting shared space cost wise is the same as commuting from the comfort of my condo. So I am planning to get a tiny house this year and would love to have a location in SF to put it in.

Who would be the best person to transfer ownership of this thread to? Chelsea may not be fully engaged on this as she has several other projects going on right now.
