On June 25th, the Miraloma Park Improvement Club launched "Resilient Miraloma Park" using the Neighborhood Empowerment Network
's Empowered Communities Program (ECP) with the support of MIT's Urban Risk Lab. On July 23rd, the team facilitated a workshop on heat wave preparedness, and on August 20th, residents focused on earthquakes. All of the participants' insights are being collected here.
Led by the 80 year old Miraloma Park Improvement Club (MPIC), a democratically elected neighborhood association, partners include The Mayor's Office, Supervisor Norman Yee, SF Fire Dept., SF Public Utilities Commission, SF Police Dept., Dept. of Emergency Management, Dept. of Health, Human Services Agency, Red Cross, NERT, Nextdoor, Neighborland, and MIT Urban Risk Lab.
