How can we improve our public spaces in Central Waterfront and Dogpatch?
Over the past 2 years, Central Waterfront and Dogpatch residents have helped the Planning Department and our partners prioritize capital projects for funding. The draft plan is now posted and available for public feedback (see link below).
As more development is realized in the neighborhood, the public realm of the Central Waterfront should receive appropriate improvements that better serve residents and employees. The Central Waterfront / Dogpatch Public Realm Plan will set the framework for public space investments in the neighborhood, guiding impact fees and other funding sources towards the streetscapes, sidewalks, and parks which tie the area together. One goal of the Public Realm Plan was to gather public input about which projects to prioritize for funding, which you can see archived here on Neighborland.
