Home Yet Far Away film screening and capoeira project will connect immigrants and refugee students to the Oakland International High School campus. Immigrant filmmaker Sabereh Kashi will show her film and lead discussions and Ginga Mundo Capoeira will perform and teach to enhance student community.

Oakland International High School

We are hosting this event at Oakland International High School. It is presented by Refugee Transitions in collaboration with Ginga Mundo Capoeira Oakland. This event aims to help refugee and immigrant students create 'home' and 'community' at the school.
