How they managed to develop the Ed Roberts campus, including reconstructing the sidewalks and streetscape on woolsey with no lighting is beyond me. It is _dark_ here people, and people are constantly picked off walking from BART. In a sad statement on priorities, the parking lot is brightly lit, while the adjacent sidewalks are not.

Because the sidewalks are recently rebuilt, its very unlikely they would be torn up to add lighting, but the BART edge of the Woolsey sidewalk is all landscaping, with utilities and irrigation -- easily retrofitted with lighting. Should be part of a broader lighting, streetscape, traffic calming effort aimed at safe station access from all directions.
