We would like One Card machines in parking structure! It is an inconvenience when I don't have enough money on my one card and everyone behind me in line to get into the structure or lot has to back out to let me out so I can add money. The closest one card machine is either Deroy or Ghafari and both of those machines are always down.

Residential parking passes might be an effective way to ease parking issues for Midtown residents and a potential way to generate a money for the city. Permit fees are usually very low-cost, but it might encourage more Midtown residents to change their registration to Detroit and increase the tax base. The permit might also encourage WSU students to use the parking structures, leaving street parking open to residents and visitors who are hear to eat and shop.

Large cities across the country have residential parking permits we could look at -- One close to home is Ypsilanti: cityofypsilanti.com/Government...
