According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the cost of utility-scale photovoltaics just dropped below $0.06 per kilowatt hour. If you take into account the hidden health costs of burning fossil fuels, this is not purely an environmental issue anymore. It makes economic sense too.

I want the City to add solar panels to suitable city facilities to help with air quality, to reduce temperatures, and to reduce electricity costs. In the Valley of the Sun, solar is a no brainer.

I am working with the City of Tempe on their plan to move to 100% renewable energy and would like to work with the City of Mesa too. Please let me know what I can do to help.

This would be SUCH an incredible project idea and opportunity for Mesa to help lead the way for other Arizona towns & cities!

I agree, the other cities in the Valley are making progress, but it would be great to see Mesa take the lead!

I would like opportunity to learn how we can make this happen so we do get all our cities in AZ in agreement to accord. I have contacted Governor Ducey & reps McCain, Flake, & Biggs quite frequently via twitter & Facebook. I have asked them to join the U.S. Climate Alliance. I'm not giving up anytime soon.
