13 neighbors want a dog park in New Orleans.

I've heard tell that Markey Park is about to become much less dog-friendly. That's cool, but I'd really like a dog park in the Marigny/Bywater.

There were plenty of feral dog packs in N. O. before the Federal Flood of 2005--at least 3 in Mid-City, Surely you don't want that to return.
Many landlords do not accept dogs because so many dog owners do not properly train or control their dogs.

Hi Sean, I have the same question as Dan. What specifically do you mean?

I do know that in Orleans and Jefferson Parish there are not enough apartments that except pets. If New Orleans' landlords were more pet friendly, then less animals would be surrendered to the shelters – or worse abandoned on the streets. :(

Funny, I don't think that dogs are suited to an urban environment. They bark needlessly interrupting an otherwise serene morning, afternoon, evening.

That neighborhood definitely needs a real dog park.
