10 neighbors want more Kubb in San Francisco.

If you'll kindly have us, we'd like to host a Kubb Tournament for a third time at NOW Fest. What is Kubb? Kubb is an ancient Viking lawn game that crossed the seas to find a home in parks of SF. It's that game with the blocks and the batons you've seen at Dolores park, GG Park, and obviously in the Panhandle.

Our version of a Kubb Tournament, fitting the location, is far more like a Bay 2 Breakers jaunt than an Iron Man. - no experience necessary
- low fitness level required
- costume optional
- announcers that explain the game and lovingly heckle you (ok, that's unique to Kubb)
- meet randoms, bond over triumph and defeat.

NOW Fest friends, will you have us for Fall 2015?

Kubb Tournament
Sunday, November 16, 2014, 11:45am - 4pm
The Panhandle near Clayton and Fell

Here's a video explaining Kubb if you've never played.
vimeo.com/90462459

We'll have practice games where you can learn the game with one of our kubb ambassadors.
And if you really like it we're keeping a team open with a great coach / team captain for new people. Just come by at noon and ask for the NOW! Fest team.

Who knows, you might have latent talent and become the next CA Kubb Champion. Wow. Talk about a story to tell on Monday!

How can you find us? Go to Clayton and Fell at 11:45am. You won't be able to miss it.

Hello future Kubb players. 15 / 16 team spots are full, but I'm holding one open spot for interested NOW Fest attendees. Is this useful? Anyone interested in playing in the tournament. The game takes about 5 minutes to learn.

Kubb is a ton of fun and the organizer makes the event really exciting. There are other opportunities to play in tournaments in the park throughout the year. You should check them out!
