"Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is gaining popularity due to it’s relaxing, rejuvenating and healing effects on the whole system: body, mind and emotional body. During this deep meditation, practitioners lie comfortably in the restorative posture of Savasana while being guided through various techniques designed to go deeper into relaxation; past wakefulness into the dream state of deep sleep, all while remaining conscious and aware. The benefits of a regular Yoga Nidra practice are numerous. It can be especially helpful to counteract the effects of stress and anxiety that are prevalent in our modern, busy culture. Join meditation and yoga instructor Marin McCallen for one hour of gentle Pranayama & Asana to prepare the body, followed by about one hour of blissfully restful, rejuvenating Yoga Nidra. You will leave feeling present and refreshed on all levels. It is an experience not to be missed! All levels welcome! Everyone can benefit from the practice of Yoga Nidra. "
Yoga in the Panhandle! Erin Mariani of Pop-up Yoga leads a Vinyasa Flow class for Middle Circle twice monthly.
After hosting Costume yoga on Halloween Erin was happy to lead another class in the park!
Engage in an ancient practice in a sacred space–a church sanctuary. People of all faiths, perspectives, age, and yoga experience are invited to join teacher Erin Mariani for vinyasa flow yoga. Afterwards stick around to connect with new friends and neighbors. This is a donation-based yoga class. We encourage those who can to donate $10. However, no one is ever turned away due to a lack of funds. Presented by Pop Up Yoga San Francisco. Please bring your own mat if you have one.
It's also our yogi's birthday, so there may be surprises in store!
