As an old west end resident I would LOVE to have another option other than seaway...
Another option for a space downtown would be in the Lasalle Apartments off of Huron or on the corner of Adams and Huron. I believe there was a grocery store there several years ago, though I didn't live in the area at the time. Huron needs more businesses to connect the Warehouse District with the Valentine Theatre area/Adams St. corridor. As a downtowner, I would certainly appreciate a fantastic grocery option, especially Phoenix Earth Food Co-Op.
The Civic Center next to the Farmers Market would be ideal. However, it probably isn't available as it seems the city would rather keep the building vacant.
How much space do they need?
I'm just seeing how it works, Andy. Thanks for playing!!
This web site is not going to get a true count because people will not always sign up for a new account for something random like this.
I have felt this way since the first I've heard about moving a couple years ago. It will be a huge synergy. I doubt you would regret it. Please support my conscientious pedestrian lifestyle. I may be able to shop at your store almost exclusively once again.
I would be there 100 times more, and this would make it only one busride away from anywhere in the city, as opposed to the 2-bus trip it is from anywhere but the #19 route, making it exponentially more accessible to the urban poor!
