12 neighbors want a 500+ capacity music venue in Downtown, Las Vegas.

We have great bars for smaller shows in Downtown but it limits the booking options for promoters. Downtown doesn't need another Joint, but a smaller venue that has great sound and can be place to catch festival level acts would help accentuate the arts and entertainment culture of downtown. Practice spaces, recording booths, instrument rental and screenprinting could help local artists collaborate and grow the local music scene.

Seems like there are things happening with the Huntridge!

Cima Mizrachi says:
" Thank you kindly for your support and excitement! I am so thankful there are so many people who love and support the Huntridge and are happy to know we are working on improving the theater. That being said, I do want to point out that we are currently only planning on using the adjacent building for our new+vintage home decor and furniture store. Options for the theater are still open. We are using our entrepreneurial side to figure out the best use for the space when the time is right. We are in a unique position of knowing what has, and has not worked in the past. We are doing our best to do this the right way so as to give us the best chance for making sure we do not see the Huntridge close once again."

Maybe we could brainstorm other locations to build or renovate? I do not believe that the huntridge is the *only* option.

Yeah, $3.3 million from what I heard and they don't seems to be awfully willing to negotiate that price :-(

Hey Peter, it's currently owned and they have said it's for sale for the right price (last estimation was in the $3 million range). There are some groups on Facebook that have talked about different ways to engage with the owners and possibly making a business play for it down the road.

What's the deal with The Huntridge Theater? Is that a goner for real or is there a possibility to get it re-opened somehow? People seem to be talking about it, but I don't have any facts at all.
