41 neighbors want free wi-fi on all RTC buses and at the Bonneville Transit Center in Downtown, Las Vegas.

Free wi-fi on buses isn't such a weird idea -- dozens of cities offer it, even cities in China! If RTC wants to offer an attractive alternative to single-occupancy vehicles, this is an important first step.

Not too sure who heads up those efforts but I know Ron Floth (FlothR@rtcsnv.com) who has been big on downtown biking events. He may be able to point you in the right direction.

Offering a commute that is productive is a huge difference. True, there are always tradeoffs, but on-bus wi-fi seems attainable. I think Graham is on the right track with a big corporate sponsor. Even a partnership would require significant time and resources from leadership at the RTC.

Who heads the agency?

This sounded like a great idea so I brought it up to someone working in Traffic Amenities. Unfortunately they let me know that at this point it is out of the RTC's budget. The solution would be to find funding, but I think that funding would be better spent towards complete streets.

Verizon sponsors VegasStreats and has been looking for new ways to promote their products. Could we worth a shot.

How about a more expansive Bus line or even a Monorail system that links North Vegas with South Vegas. Living in LV for two years I realized the biggest thing keeping community apart was a means of connected transportation. Someone might live thirty minutes from someone else and that was considered too far to make a treck because public transportation would take over an hour to make that destination.

I wonder if there is anyone who could parter to provide this? Or if it *needs* to come directly from RTC?
