IDEAS CITY is a festival hosted by the New Museum exploring the future of cities around the globe with the belief that arts and culture are essential to the vitality of urban centers, making them better places to live, work, and play.
Neighborland installed an eight-foot interactive billboard on Saturday 5/4/13 during the IDEAS CITY StreetFest. This interactive public artwork prompted festival-goers to share their ideas on what they’d like to see changed, improved, or otherwise altered in Lower Manhattan, harnessing the “untapped capital” of local residents’ knowledge of their own neighborhoods.
