what about the 1000 of homes in the Eastmark area. There has already been several calls with a ten minute response. Also this development is one of the fastest growing areas in the nation.. Mesa needs to prioritize public safety over narrow streets or new parks

I agree Eastmark needs a Fire Station too, Mesa should be using the taxes and fees charged for new homes to build these much needed infrastructures. These thing are needed more than art displays and anything else that is not essential right now in the city. We as residents also need to be willing to have a modest increase in the sales tax to help fund public safety some can have more police and fire personnel as the city continues to grow.

Jack and Mateo,
Someone posted an idea about an Eastmark fire station here: neighborland.com/ideas/mesa-az....

Feel free to support and weigh in on that idea, as well.

I love this new development on Main Street Mesa. El Rancho del Sol is the sister project to El Rancho del Arte (719 E. Main) already built and serving 66 families. The concept is modern, attractive and the Arts being integrated in so many facets of the architecture is a win win for all of us!
I would love to see more new building with a % for the Arts Program in Mesa!

There is also Mesa Fire Station 206 at Adobe and Lindsey and a Salt River Reservation Station at Oak and Stapley. How close are they to the same area?

The Fire Station 206 located at 815 N Lindsay is 3.9 miles away with a 9 min normal traffic response. We cannot depend on mutual aid from Salt River FD to respond to Mesa incidents as they prioritize their residents first, as they should. Yes this land according to Councilman Mark Freeman is city owned and its been over 10 years that they have been wanting to build a station even before the new 1000+ homes were added to the area. We need a Fire Station at this location now and the funds paid by residents in taxes and fees paid by the builders should be used to provide these new infrastructures. Please email our District 1 Councilman Mark Freeman asking that this be the number 1 priority for our District. His email is District1@mesaaz.gov

The city property at 32nd Street and McDowell was set aside for a fire station over 30 years ago. It's about time it was finally built.
