I don't know how reliable this is after so many years of my emailing and Facebook messaging them with no reply, but I finally got a reply from Robért Fresh Market:

"You can expect a new site and online shopping platform very soon. Thank you."

One can hope! :)

I hope they end up having lists too. They did in the first (and working) version of their site that I had just discovered a week before they changed it!

I still think Amazon will end up controlling this, which is a shame for folks like Rouse's, but then we are all given a choice whether we want to ignore or pursue opportunity.

I doubt very much that I am the only person in this city that is embarrassed by how truly behind New Orleans is regarding the ability to order groceries online and have them delivered. I suppose the Walmart pick up thing is somewhat of a start but I doubt I'd actually use Walmart for groceries but at least they have lists, which is more than I can say for any of these other services. Instacart, Peapod, Shipt, heck, aliens from space, please come here to New Orleans and give us an efficient online grocery shopping and delivery service! :)

Of course there's always this:

uptown.robertfreshmarket.com

Not sure if anyone else can get it to work. Five years in and I still can't. Takes at least a minute per page to load and Robert's Fresh Market doesn't care. They'd be better having NO website than THAT website. It's so embarrassing that I'd be afraid to shop there because of it.

I wonder if Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods solves the problem? www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-wa...

Let us hope. These corporations always tend to prioritize this city last.
