I agree Tim. Mesa is a welcoming location for all people of diverse backgrounds. However, based on facts highlighted in the attached picture, people of lower economic status are clustered into primarily 1 part of the city. The red dots highlight all the locations in Mesa where section 8 housing and low income tax credit housing are accepted. These families (and children especially) should have the opportunity to live in higher net worth areas of Mesa. This type of economic segregation should never be allowed by such a great and inviting city!

Segregation of any kind, even though intent may be altruistic, tends toward limited opportunities and the perpetuation of negative stereotypes. Mesa can do much better.
