A little-known fact is that a bicycle can be the fastest way to get where you're going in San Francisco. In some cases, a 40-minute MUNI trip can be replaced with a 25-minute bike ride.

Many people incorrectly assume that riding a bike will take longer than MUNI or car when in fact it can be quicker. (Studies: bit.ly/XxO43W). Also, walking can be surprisingly quick compared to driving or MUNI because a direct path can be taken instead of walking to and from stations, waiting to transfer, or looking for parking and getting stuck in traffic. Plus, walking and biking is fun and it's a great way to see and connect with the community.

Let's inform people so they can be aware of all the available options to get around town.

Agreed on biking. I took the bikeshare today and was blown away by how fast I got from Polk/Post to Kearney. I beat the buses on a one-way street! Would be a great idea to add biking in there too.
