senseofplaceLAB
senseofplace LAB is an artistic laboratory that develops projects/works [usually in collaboration with community and artistic partners] that reveal the many layers of place in order for people to connect more deeply to where they are - and communicate the value of their communities. Works are seen as a form of civic engagement: the more we experience a place, the more we care about it. senseofplace LAB was founded by Laurie Halsey Brown in San Francisco in 2008 - based on research/art since 2000.

I'm a biker and am very excited about all the new bike lanes in the city. But its frustrating that so many drivers see these as places for them to double park. This means that bikers have to go into traffic to go around them. This is very dangerous for us! There's never any repercussions for their behavior, which makes bikers very vulnerable.

When someone double parks in my bike lane, I'd like to take a cellphone photo of the car and then just be able to immediately send it to the police [or an organization that would be willing to go through these photos and then send them to the appropriate person/dept/organization] so these people get a ticket.

Is there something already like this?
