I'm a biker and am very excited about all the new bike lanes in the city. But its frustrating that so many drivers see these as places for them to double park. This means that bikers have to go into traffic to go around them. This is very dangerous for us! There's never any repercussions for their behavior, which makes bikers very vulnerable.
When someone double parks in my bike lane, I'd like to take a cellphone photo of the car and then just be able to immediately send it to the police [or an organization that would be willing to go through these photos and then send them to the appropriate person/dept/organization] so these people get a ticket.
Is there something already like this?
senseofplace LAB will be working with Bibliobicicleta to create a site-specific event in the Panhandle on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 6-8. Donate books specific to the Panhandle (authors who live[d] there, subject matter etc.) and you will receive a senseofplace LAB bookmark. You're also welcome to donate any book and take one in return.
