Wednesday, November 19, 2014, 7:00pm - 10pm
Center SF (548 fillmore)

The NOW! festival is all about community. I will be hosting an evening where we gather and hear from a few speakers who are experienced community organizers. We'll also have time to engage the speakers and connect with one another. We will gather at the Tea Oasis which is inside The Center SF at 548 Fillmore street between oak and fell. The event will also double as a resource share so bring your extra Seeds, Kombucha mothers, Books, ETC!!

The event will be Wednesday November 19 7-10 pm. Guests can feel free to remain in the space, and connect with eachother until midnight.

The flow of the evening will be:

7:15-7:30 A talk on why tea is a mechanism for building community, by Tea Oasis founder Travis Sigley

7:40-8:40 A talk on Social Permaculture by environmental educator, permaculture designer and community organizer Pandora Thomas, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A discussion.

9:00-10:00 A talk on Community Resilience from NOW! founder Wigg Party President and community organizer Morgan Fitzgibbons, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A discussion.

10:10-12:00 Resource/idea sharing open forum: Guests can mingle around the space. Connect with one another over tea, and share ideas and resources.

We are hoping for $5-$15 donations from non-Tea Oasis Members!

Thanks so much for hosting Tom ... I really enjoyed Pandora and Morgan's talks ... and the Tea Oasis is a wonderful place to host a group event like this.
